I guarantee someone hears this and panics: Happy VALENTINE'S DAY! Did you forget to buy a gift?
It's too late to order anything, and even something homemade probably isn't doable. So what's the plan? Here are a few last-minute things you can still pull off. Most of them aren't very original. But again, it's panic time.
1. Buy a card. It's better than nothing. Just be sure to write something nice.
2. Flowers. They're better than a card. Some people might prefer a plant that won't DIE in three days.
3. Chocolates. Another classic gift. It won't be the nicest box, but every drug store has them right now.
4. A spa package, golf package, or any kind of "treat yourself" experience. Print the receipt and put it in that card you're buying.
5. Concert tickets. It's another one you can pay for now and deal with later. Pair it with flowers and a card, and you suddenly just CRUSHED Valentine's Day.
6. A nice dinner at home. Anywhere half-decent will be fully booked up. So if you want fancy, you're probably cooking. Then just Netflix and chill.
7. A guilty pleasure. Like, maybe they love McDonald's but never eat it. Your gift is "I'm your excuse."
8. A subscription box. Think Jelly of the Month Club, but something they'll actually want. Again, print something up and put it in a card.
9. A Spotify playlist with songs they'll like. It's the 2025 version of making someone a mixtape.
10. Jewelry. If you're willing to spend, just find the closest jewelry store. You won't be the only person who shows up sweating today.
