Texting was brand new back then. So he texted "hello" to a random number, just for fun. He got a text back from a woman named Kirsty . . . and ended up MARRYING her.
They got married four years later and have two kids now, aged six and nine.

Cops Released Footage of a 100-Year-Old Being Rescued from the Eaton Fire
The L.A. Sheriff's Department released chest-cam footage of two cops rescuing a 100-year-old lady from a retirement home during the Eaton Fire this month.
They saw another woman outside walking her dog, and told her to evacuate. She told them there might still be someone inside, so they went in.
The lady inside said she didn't hear them yelling, because she hadn't charged her hearing aid. It's not clear how she got left behind, but she told them she'd been trying to find her way out of the building.
