Demi Moore Is a First-Time Oscar Nominee 

After winning the Golden Globe for "The Substance", Demi Moore could win her second-ever acting award, because she's up for the Oscar for Best Actress. It's her first Oscar nomination, obviously.

 

 

But "Emilia Pérez" earned a leading 13 nominations . . . which is a record for a non-English language movie.

 

 

Its nominations include Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldana, and Best Actress for Karla Sofia Gascon . . . the first openly-trans actor ever nominated for an Oscar.

 

 

"Wicked" came away with 10 nominations, including Best Picture, and acting nods for Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. And if Cynthia wins, she'll have an EGOT. She already has an Emmy, a Grammy, and a Tony.

 

 

"The Brutalist" also had 10 nominations, including Best Picture.

 

The other Best Picture nominees are "Anora""A Complete Unknown""Conclave""Dune: Part 2""I'm Still Here""Nickel Boys", and "The Substance".

 

 

Timothée Chalamet is up for Best Actor for "A Complete Unknown", making him the second person to get two nominations in that category before the age of 30.

 

 

James Dean did it first, with "East of Eden" and "Giant" . . . both of which he earned after he died. Chalamet's first nomination was for "Call Me By My Name".

 

 

Nicole KidmanAngelina JolieSelena Gomez, and Pamela Anderson are among those who were SNUBBED.
