Rod Stewart Was Once Served Divorce Papers by David Schwimmer
Here's some crazy celebrity trivia: The summer after David Schwimmer finished his freshman year of college, he went to work as a process server for his mother, who was a divorce lawyer.
His job was to, quote, "pop out of the bushes and serve you divorce papers."
And one of those people he had to serve was ROD STEWART. This would have been around 1984, so Rod was probably being served by his first wife Alana Stewart, whom he'd married in 1979.
David said, quote, "Thank goodness I've never run into him since . . . I don't even know if he knows. I don't think he knows."
But David told this story on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", so there's a good chance he knows now. Colbert said, quote, "You could theoretically run into Rod Stewart sometime! Now he knows to punch you."
