Serious question: Are aliens about to INVADE EARTH?
For a month now, people in New Jersey have been reporting large, CAR-SIZED drones in the night sky. And there's all sorts of speculation about what they are.
Some think they're just larger-than-normal drones being operated from the ground, or by pilots. Other's think a foreign government is using them to spy. And of course . . . little green men haven't been ruled out. Some think aliens could even be disguising themselves as drones.
A lot of the videos being posted are just planes or helicopters. But some of the footage has people obsessed.
Folks are convinced something weird is going on. Even Senator Richard Blumenthal suggested yesterday that the military might want to start SHOOTING THEM DOWN at some point. Experts are urging the public to NOT try that.
National security advisor John Kirby downplayed it at a White House briefing yesterday, saying there's "no evidence" that whatever people are seeing poses a threat to the public, or to national security. But the FBI is still investigating.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country: At least four pilots reported UFOs in the sky near Eugene, Oregon on Saturday night.
There's audio of one of the pilots saying they were moving at "extreme speeds" . . . going "up and down" . . . and in a "corkscrew pattern." Then air traffic control gives him permission to, quote, "maneuver as necessary" to avoid the "UFOs out there."
One expert thinks that incident was just Starlink satellites reflecting light. It's called "satellite flare," and it's fooled pilots before. But not everyone's convinced.
The most likely scenario is there's some sort of explanation that's not other-worldly. But no one's been able to say for sure. (CBS / CNN / NY Post / KGW)
