Grubhub Delivered a Literal Ton of Cottage Cheese to Customers in 2024
In 2024, did you find yourself desperately ordering COTTAGE CHEESE to be delivered to your home? You weren't the only one.
Grubhub released a report on the delivery trends they noticed this year, and it included some interesting stuff. Here are a few of the numbers:
1. Chicken was included in nearly 40% of all Grubhub restaurant orders.
2. Grubhub delivered over one ton of cottage cheese orders to customers . . . that's more than 2,000 pounds of cottage cheese.
3. Grubhub espresso orders spiked the week of June 22nd, right as the song "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter topped the charts.
4. There was a 14% increase in orders for PICKLES.
5. Dr. Pepper was the most-ordered soda from convenience stores.

- Stanley admitted its water bottles contained lead – In January, Stanley announced that their popular tumbler did contain lead, but said the lead was encased in the bottom of the containers and was not at risk of making contact with skin or the fluid in the cup.
- Trader Joe’s chili and lime-flavored rolled corn tortilla chips were a big hit – these crispy, crunchy, spicy and savory chips won the Trader Joe’s Customer Choice Award.
- Panera Bread faced another lawsuit over its Charged Lemonade – there was a third lawsuit filed regarding Panera’s Charged Lemonade by a woman in Rhode Island who claimed to have heart palpitations and dizziness after drinking 2.5 servings of the high caffeine beverage. She was later diagnosed with AFib.
- Boar’s Head recalled 7 million pounds of meat due to a listeria outbreak – this recall occurred in July and was one of several recalls by the Center for Disease Control regarding listeria contamination in 2024.
