A Brazen Thief Stole a Replica of the Leg Lamp from "A Christmas Story"
I hope these grinches at least packed this well because it's very "fra-GEE-lay" . . .
Cops in Marysville, Washington near Seattle are looking for two brazen thieves who broke into a plumbing supply store last week and only stole one thing . . . a replica of the leg lamp from "A Christmas Story".
The store's owner had it in a display window out front. They shattered the window, snagged the lamp, and ran off.
Marysville P.D. asked people to be on the lookout. They described the lamp as "45 inches tall" . . . "glorious" . . . and "a major award."
The place is called Larry's Plumbing Supply. But the owner's name is Eric Klemp, and he's already replaced the lamp. He posted a follow-up yesterday of a, quote, "newer, younger" leg lamp he purchased.
He said replacing the damaged window will cost him $3,000. But he's having fun with it and milking it for all it's worth. He put up a sign outside that says, "Leg Lamp Heist Leaves Town Stumped."
