Disney pretty much let Ryan Reynolds and company do whatever they wanted with "Deadpool and Wolverine". But there's one joke they would NOT abide . . . and now we know what it was.
In the final cut of the movie, Deadpool says, quote, "[Eff], now Disney gets cheap? It's like Pinocchio jammed his face in my [butt] and started lying like crazy."
But the ORIGINAL line in the script was, quote, "Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse [wiener] in my throat."
Disney wasn't cool with that, so Ryan replaced it with the Pinocchio joke, and it passed. I guess you don't mess with the Mouse?
Over the summer, director Shawn Levy revealed that "Pinocchio" was a replacement line for a joke that got vetoed, but he claimed he and Ryan would take the original gag to their graves.
But that's irrelevant now, because the original script for "Deadpool and Wolverine" was posted online . . . ironically on a Disney website.
