Another small piece of your innocence will be chipped away, when POPEYE becomes a horror movie villain.
The movie, simply called "Popeye", is expected to be released in January. It's not part of the "Poohniverse" that started with the "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" movies, but it's the same basic idea.
It's described as a, quote, "raunchy and gory slasher", where Popeye attacks a group of counselors who are trying to open a summer camp.
Obviously, you couldn't pick a less original premise . . . or a plot that has less to do with the actual Popeye character. Seriously, summer camp???
My guess is they chose it simply because it's the cheapest idea to film . . . which doesn't make me confident we've got a winner on the way.
