We'll Wait 29 Minutes for Food Before We Get Annoyed

Would you say you're a patient person? 71% of Americans think they are, but do the stats back it up? A study looked at how long the average person can wait for various things before they start getting annoyed . . .

1. Waiting on a server to take your order? 13 minutes.

2. Waiting for your food to arrive? 17 minutes. So, add those up and we expect to be eating within 30 minutes of sitting down.

3. Waiting in line at the grocery store? Over half of us will switch to a different line if we see more than three people ahead of us.

4. Food delivery? 29 minutes. So, Domino's was onto something with their old "30 minutes or less" guarantee.

5. Waiting behind someone at a stop sign? A third of us are laying on the horn within 10 seconds.

Starbucks Is Ditching Its Olive Oil Coffee That Customers Called a "Legit Laxative"

Starbucks is discontinuing its line of olive oil-infused coffee drinks that customers joked were a "legit laxative."

Their Oleato line debuted last year but only went nationwide nine months ago. It was the brainchild of now FORMER Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.

He went to Italy in 2022 and learned people there drink a spoonful of olive oil a day as a sort of health serum. He predicted the idea would "transform the coffee industry." It didn't.

The drinks never caught on, partly because olive oil in your coffee just sounds weird. Plus, the reviews weren't great. People complained about stomach issues . . . and BOWEL issues.

If you're one of the few people who loved the drinks, enjoy them while you can. They'll disappear from Starbucks menus in the U.S. over the next week or so.

Schultz stepped down as the company's interim CEO in September. They poached their new CEO Brian Niccol from Chipotle.

Starbucks is downplaying the new CEO part of it. They say the decision to ditch the olive oil was made well before the transition. It's part of their strategy to "simplify" their menu.
