Another Reason to LOVE Chris Stapleton! He's Voting for "America and a Good Glass of Whiskey."
A poll this week found just 7% of Americans have ever voted for someone because a celebrity told them to. So you can't really blame stars who'd rather play it close to the vest . . .
Someone just asked Chris Stapleton who he's voting for, and he said, "I'm voting for America and a good glass of whiskey."
That doesn't mean he thinks other celebrities shouldn't talk about it though. Quote, "I'm not saying celebrities shouldn't endorse people - that's American. [But] I also think the right to keep that private, [and] let people make their own choices based on what politicians say and do - that's American too."
They also asked him about a "GQ" article from last year that said his music might be the only thing ALL Americans can agree on right now.
He said he doubts it. But quote, "If that's true, I think it's wonderful, because I think we need more things we can agree on."
