Weezer Releases Pre-Fame Song "Superman"
It’s hard to argue that this is a fantastic way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of a huge milestone. Ahead of the release of the 30th Anniversary Edition box set of “Blue Album,” Weezer has released a true hidden treasure; the only known band recording of one of their earliest songs, “Superman”. Subtitled “Garage Practice,” that’s exactly what it’s from. Longtime friend, collaborator, and band historian Karl Koch says in the liner notes that the band didn’t roll tape at practice, saying “it only happened twice.” You can listen to the 1992 recording to the right.

Faith No More On "Semi-Permanent" Hiatus
Both Faith No More and Mr. Bungle canceled a ton of tour dates in 2021 and 2022 due to vocalist Mike Patton’s ongoing mental health issues. Mr. Bungle eventually made it back to life, but Faith No More is still missing in action…and it sounds like it’ll stay that way. Keyboardist Roddy Bottom briefly addressed the situation around Faith No More in a post to his Substack, saying that the band is “kind of on semi-permanent hiatus.” On the bright side, Bottom’s keeping busy with his band Imperial Teen and says he “wrote an opera about Sasquatch a couple of years ago.”

The Black Keys Team Up With Alice Cooper For "Stay In Your Grave"
The Black Keys have teamed up with Alice Cooper for a new song, “Stay in Your Grave.” The track is part of the band’s upcoming release “Ohio Players (Trophy Edition).” That release is a special version of the latest album, and it will include previously unreleased tracks like “Stay in Your Grave” and the recent single “Mi Tormenta.” The updated project, “Ohio Players (Trophy Edition),” is due out on November 15th.
