Costco Makes A Big Change To Its Food Court Pizza
Costco’s food court pizza is a popular item and in the past, customers at many locations had to order through digital kiosks at the food courts and wait for their number to be called to receive their pizza. According to this Redditor, customers at his local Costco have gotten rid of this method of ordering and are directed to place their orders at the counter and stand in a dedicated pickup line to get their pizza on a first-come, first-served basis.
There’s no official word from Costco regarding the number of warehouses that have made the switch or the reasons behind it, but it may be an attempt to make the process more efficient. Many Costco members have complained about long wait times with the food court pizza in the past. The new process appears to be more fair and efficient with one Reddit comment saying “You get served as you get to the front of the line. That is the only thing that matters.”
There may be other changes coming as well. Another Redditor spotted what it believed to be a pizza warming cabinet at their location that allowed customers to grab their pizza from the cabinet after paying for it at the counter, alleviating wait times. Costco has not responded to inquiries about the changes, so keep your eyes out at your local warehouse at the food court for a new way to get your pizza.
