This time of year, many people go to FAKE haunted houses . . . but some people believe they have been to the REAL thing. Or LIVED in one.
In a poll, 16% of people say they have lived in a haunted house . . . 11% say they've visited an actual haunted house. . . 6% say they haven't yet, but would like to . . . and 29% say they have not, and have NO INTEREST in going to one.
24% of people say they do not believe houses can be haunted . . . and that's more common among men. 31% of them say that.
Women are more likely to believe houses can be haunted . . . because they have personal experience. 19% of women claim they have lived in a haunted house compared to just 12% of men.
30% of People Would Be Cool Buying a House That Was a Murder Scene
Does this say more about people's obsession with true crime . . . or the ridiculous housing market.
A poll asked people: "If you were looking to buy a house, and found one you could afford, that checked all your boxes, would you still buy it if you learned the previous homeowners had been murdered in it?"
30% of people said YES . . . while 32% said NO . . . and 38% are "not sure." (Maybe they're holding out for more information on minor details like . . . you know . . . was the murderer caught?)
Younger adults were more hesitant about living at the scene of a murder, and women were more wary about it than men.
The poll also asked if sellers should be REQUIRED to disclose recent deaths on the property, and 35% of people said YES . . . 23% said "yes, but only deaths due to a murder" . . . and 25% said NO, they don't wanna know. 17% aren't sure.
