Hurricane Roundup: Tropicana Field, Conspiracy Nuts, and More!

Hurricane Milton nailed the Florida coast as a Category 3 Wednesday night, less than two weeks after Helene tore through. The good news is it could have been worse. But it still caused widespread flooding, tornados, and left millions without power.

 

 

Here's some of the news surrounding Milton. A few serious stories, and some not-so-serious . . .

 

 

Tropicana Field's roof got shredded. It's where the Tampa Bay Rays play, but it won't affect any games since they didn't make the playoffs.  (Sorry to pile on, Tampa.) It was supposed to be a hurricane relief hub, with cots on the field. But those plans got scrapped, because they were worried the roof wouldn't hold.
