Food: Mountain Dew Is Changing Its Logo and Spelling Out "Mountain" Again

Mountain Dew Is Changing Its Logo and Spelling Out "Mountain" Again

You know the nostalgia boom is in full swing when we're getting nostalgic for proper spelling and grammar . . .

Mountain Dew announced they're changing their logo and going back to spelling out the full word, "Mountain."

They shortened it to "MTN" in 2009 because it seemed like a "cool" and "hip" way to spell it. It's been like that for the past 15 years.

The new logo looks more like the one they used in the '90s, which was based on one from 1969. "Mountain Dew" is fully spelled out, and it's got little letters that say it was "Established" in 1948.

Their original 1948 logo was a lot different. So, I guess they didn't want to get THAT nostalgic with it.

If you're a fan of the shorter "MTN" logo, you'll have plenty of time to come to terms with it. They're not rolling the new logo out until May of next year.
