Perry Farrell's Vocals from the Night Jane's Addiction Imploded Are Atrocious . . . Check 'Em Out
We all know that something wasn't right with Perry Farrell the night he threw a punch at Dave Navarro . . . during what could end up being the last Jane's Addiction show EVER.
Well, Dan Cleary, a guitar and bass tech on the tour, posted Perry's isolated vocals from just before the freak-out, and they're ATROCIOUS.
Perry's voice is terrible, he's singing in the wrong spots, and he just starts screaming in frustration, and saying stuff like, "[Eff] these mother[effers]," while gesturing to his bandmates.
Shortly after this happened, Perry's wife claimed he was upset because the vocals were too low in the mix, and the music was drowning him out.
But Cleary says, quote, "He didn't know where he was in the songs. He didn't know the words. He was singing words from other songs. These are not sound issues.
"And also, he had a bunch of fantastic shows throughout the tour. The sound doesn't change; we're the same all the time."
