Introducing: The "Poopcopter" . . . a Drone That Collects Dog Poo
Wouldn't it be great if a robot could just follow your pet around and clean up their messes? Well, someone MAY have just invented one.
An entrepreneur from Minnesota named Caleb Olson has just unveiled an invention that he calls the "Poopcopter." He describes it as the "world's first aerial bound self-guided dog poop removal system."
It's a drone that can detect a dog's poo within a defined space, like a yard . . . lower itself to scoop it up . . . and then carry it away to dispose of it. Caleb says, "It's kind of like a UFO . . . except it's abducting dog poop instead of people."
There's even an option to "sky dump" . . . releasing the contents from mid-air . . . like on your neighbor's property.
The idea is that these things would be able to work on their own, like a Roomba. So you wouldn't have to "remote-control" it.
There aren't any details on when you might be able to buy one of these, or how much they'd cost.
Caleb says he's trying to figure out if he wants to position it as a direct-to-consumer product . . . or use them to create a service industry, where workers come to your house with a FLEET of these things, like a weekly visit from a garbage collector or pool maintenance.

A United flight from San Francisco to Houston had to land in Albuquerque last month after a medical emergency on board. The flight, which had 150 passengers, was delayed overnight, so the pilot turned it into a pizza party.
All the restaurants in the airport were closed, so he ordered 30 pizzas from a local restaurant. Then he made sure everyone got as much as they wanted before he made himself a plate.
