Brett Favre revealed yesterday that he has Parkinson's disease.
Brett was testifying before Congress yesterday about a welfare fraud scandal he's caught up in. He's not actually facing any charges, and he's already repaid more than $1 million in funds that were allegedly misspent.
Favre says HE was a victim too . . . scammed by a biotech company with ties to the case that claimed to be developing a concussion drug.
Favre said it was a cause dear to his heart, even though, quote, "it's too late for me, I've recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's."
Favre is 54 years old. He played 20 years in the NFL, mostly with the Green Bay Packers. It's not clear that his condition was caused by concussions.
The Parkinson's Foundation says scientists believe it's caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors, which could include head injuries.
