James Earl Jones died yesterday at his home in Upstate New York. He was 93 years old.

It hardly seems necessary to list his iconic roles, but here we go:

1. The voice of Darth Vader. An actor named David Prowse actually wore the suit in the original trilogy.

The voice of Mufasa, Simba's dad in "The Lion King" . . . in both the original and the "live-action" remake.

King Jaffe Joffer, father of Prince Akeem, in "Coming to America" and the recent sequel.

4. Terence Mann in "Field of Dreams".

His other films include "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb," "Conan the Barbarian," "The Hunt for Red October," "The Sandlot," and "Clear and Present Danger."

And the 1986 cinematic classic that is "Soul Man"

He was also the voice of the "This Is CNN" promo.

He's one of only a handful of entertainers to have earned the EGOT, although his Oscar was HONORARY. He WAS nominated for Best Actor in 1970 for "The Great White Hope", though.

Mark Hamill . . . who played Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" movies . . . Tweeted, "RIP dad."
