Linkin Park announced their new singer yesterday . . . and it's a woman. Her name is Emily Armstrong, and she comes from the band Dead Sarah.
She joins Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Dave "Phoenix" Pharrell, and new drummer Colin Brittain.
They played an exclusive show for fan club members in L.A. yesterday. It was Linkin Park's first official performance since 2017.
Shinoda said in a statement, quote, "We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we've made together.
"We're weaving together the sonic touchpoints we've been known for and still exploring new ones."
And yes, they already have an album ready. It's called "From Zero", and it drops on November 15th. The first single, "The Emptiness Machine," came out yesterday.
They also announced a handful of live dates starting next week . . . but most of them are outside the U.S.
