The Black Crowes, who were supposed to open for Aerosmith on their Peace Out Tour, said they were "shocked and saddened" by the announcement but said they had, quote, "nothing but love and respect to our friends in Aerosmith."

During a show in Detroit Friday night, Sammy Hagar called it, quote, "[effing] honorable" for Tyler to know when to quit.

He added, quote, "The day I can't sing anymore I will [effin'] do the same thing, and that's what a lot of other mother[effers] should have did a long time ago."

James Hetfield Hits Helium And Then Sings Part Of "Enter Sandman"

James Hetfield is now 61 years old, and how else would the Metallica frontman celebrate except by hitting some helium for the announcement? A video posted to Metallica’s Instagram account shows Hetfield sucking in a dose of the gas from a birthday balloon and then singing “Happy Birthday” to himself, saying “Hi, everybody. I’m 61. Do you know that?” The best part is that he finished up by singing a few lines of “Enter Sandman” in his high-pitched helium voice. You can see the video to the right.

The Most Expensive Concerts . . . Per Minute???

Taylor Swift has one of the highest average ticket prices over the past five years . . . $239. She's second only to U2, at $272. But she's not even in the Top 10 if you're calculating it BY THE MINUTE.

A new study analyzed touring data from 200 of the most popular acts, and compared their average ticket prices to the average lengths of their shows.

And it turns out Bruno Mars is the costliest artist, at $2.19 per minute. Here's the Top 10 . . .

1.  Bruno Mars, $2.19 per minute.

2.  U2, $2.12 per minute.

3.  Drake, $1.81 per minute.

4.  The Rolling Stones, $1.78 per minute.

5.  George Strait, $1.77 per minute.

6.  Eagles, $1.74 per minute.

7.  Blink-182, $1.53 per minute.

8. (TIE)  BeyoncéKendrick Lamar, and Morgan Wallen, $1.39

The reason Taylor isn't high on the list is because, even though her tickets are pricey, you get A LOT of Taylor for your buck.

Her concerts average 3 hours and 21 minutes . . . more than anyone else in the study.

She's followed by Dead & Company at 3 hours and 14 minutes, and Guns N' Roses at 3 hours and 2 minutes.
