"The Simpsons" has predicted a lot of future events in its 35 seasons on the air. Or at least the Internet CLAIMS it has. But did it predict the "Hawk Tuah" Girl?
Some people think it did, all the way back in 1992. In the episode "New Kid on the Block", Bart gets a new neighbor named Laura, voiced by Sara Gilbert from "Roseanne" and "The Conners".
Laura plays a trick on Bart by claiming she's going to read his palm and tell him his future. She grabs his hand and tells him she sees a mansion and a tennis court.
Then she gives him a HAWK TUAH, spits in his palm, and says, quote, "There's the swimming pool."
Then she gets up and walks away, leaving Bart totally SMITTEN and vowing to never wash that hand again.
In other words, she SPIT ON THAT THANG and drove Bart wild. Much like Hailey Welch said it would . . . only with a different appendage.
Obviously, this doesn't qualify as a legit prediction, but it sure is a fun coincidence.
Speaking of everyone's favorite spitter, Hailey's still enjoying her 15 minutes of fame. She was seen over the weekend partying with Shaq in Nashville.
And in an interview posted yesterday, she dispelled some rumors about herself. For instance, she was NOT a teacher who got fired when the Hawk Tuah video went viral. She actually worked in a SPRING FACTORY.
