 They were already huge by then. But it was the first multinational satellite production broadcast live worldwide, so it was a big deal. 

 

 

400 million people on five continents watched them perform "All You Need Is Love" two weeks before officially releasing it.

 

 

John Lennon wrote it specifically for the broadcast. He kept the chorus simple so that even people who didn't speak great English would understand.

Ghost's "Rite Here Rite Now" Becomes Cinema Blockbuster.

Ghost's "Rite Here Rite Now” has officially grossed $5-million globally from limited showings between June 20th and 23rd. The film, which is a blend of concert footage and narration, was screened in over 1,800 theatres, entering the global Top 10 box office at number 9. In North America, it became the highest-grossing hard rock cinema event ever, with a total gross of $2.65-million. Tobias Forge, Ghost's frontman, is thrilled with the news, saying, “Now as people seem to have not only seen it, but also seem to dig it… That really gets my motor humming. Thank you all!” The soundtrack for "Rite Here Rite Now," featuring new and live tracks, will be released July 26th.
