Serj Tankian Slams Imagine Dragons: " Don't Respect Them as Human Beings"

The System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian has expressed utter disdain for Imagine Dragons, stating he has "zero respect for those guys" after they proceeded with a controversial concert in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. Tankian had previously reached out to the band, urging them to cancel the show, as it could be perceived as endorsing human rights violations against ethnic Armenians. Artists Will Be Offered A.I. Models of Their Own Voices

A.I. is already making it hard for us to believe our own eyes and ears, and Universal Music Group is going to make it even harder. They're going to offer their artists A.I. models of their own voices.

Here's how that'll work: Individual voices will be replicated using machine learning techniques. The artist will have full control of his or her A.I. voice, and it will NOT be made available to the public.

So how would an artist use this technology? Well, he or she could "record" music without actually having to sing it. Or it could be used to enhance an artist's voice.

It could also potentially be used in a LIVE setting, for singers who can't quite cut it anymore.

A person could also "sing" in a foreign language without having to learn it . . . or keep on making music long after he or she is DEAD.

Universal says, quote, "It gives artists new 'music super-powers' and completely reimagines how music is made, enabling them to expand what is possible."
