Fireball Creates Whisky Golf Club For Father’s Day

In honor of Father's Day, Fireball has come out with the Fire Iron, a golf club with five 50-milliliter Fireball shooters strapped to its side. It probably can't replace your actual 5-iron but looks like a way to sneak booze on the golf course.

A.I. Will Soon Be Able to Observe What You Eat and Shame You for It

Do you live with someone who casually critiques your dietary choices? Like, "Cheez-Its again, huh?" Well, now they've got reinforcements on the way in the form of A.I.

Researchers in Canada are working on a new A.I. that can identify different foods . . . so it can watch what you eat and SHAME you for it.

It's not ready for primetime yet. Right now, it can just calculate how much food is on your spoon or plate with about 95% accuracy. It can't identify exactly what you're eating yet, but they're confident it'll get there.

Once that happens, it would use cameras to track what you eat. So someday soon, Alexa might watch you open a bag of chips and say, "Are you sure you want to do that? You've already consumed too many calories today."

12 Subway Sandwiches Ranked From Worst To Best.

Subway’s history dates back to 1965 when it was originally called Pete’s Super Submarines and they have evolved into one of the most popular sandwich shops throughout the globe. In the 60s, a footlong sub cost $0.69, and for years after the $5 footlong was the chain’s go-to marketing play. Those days are pretty much over due to inflation but TastingTable has come up with 12 of their current sandwiches ranked from worst to best. Here’s their list:

  1. Homestyle Chicken Salad Wrap – chicken salad made from rotisserie chicken, with no add-ons like grapes, nuts, or seasonings. It’s served on a flatbread along with onion, tomato, spinach, lettuce, and cucumbers, but came in last in this taste test.
  2. Garlic Roast Beef – part of the “Subway Series”, this sandwich consists of thin slices of fatty, stringy beef on artisan Italian bread with garlic aioli. Other ingredients include provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, and red onion, but the TastingTable folks were not impressed.
  3. The Beast – also part of the Subway Series, this huge sandwich features a half pound of meat including salami, pepperoni, turkey, ham, and roast beef topped with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and MVP Vinaigrette. It’s best for those with a big appetite.
  4. All-Pro Sweet Onion Teriyaki – this is a sub served on hot and toasty multigrain bread with grilled chicken, melted American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. The sauce has a gelatinous consistency and is closer to a sweet and sour sauce and according to this poll, it detracts from the sandwich.
  5. Titan Turkey – this is basically an oversized classic turkey sub with 33% more meat than a turkey sandwich. The meat is thin-sliced and topped with layered mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and onion rounds and got a satisfactory rating.
  6. Turkey Bacon Avocado Wrap – served on flatbread similar to Greek-style pita bread, it features oven-roasted turkey, bacon, smashed avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onions, Monterey cheddar cheese and peppercorn ranch sauce. It gets a higher rating than some of the lower-ranked offerings.
  7. The Philly – this is Subway’s version of a classic Philly cheesesteak with sliced steak, American cheese, green peppers, red onions, and mayo on toasted artisan Italian bread. It holds up well in comparison to the original Philly version and is a solid choice.
  8. Elite Chicken Bacon Ranch – plump rotisserie chicken, bacon, melted Monterey cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions make up this tasty sandwich along with peppercorn ranch dressing. It’s served on soft Italian bread for a great option.
  9. Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap – this wrap was introduced in 2024 and is made with rotisserie chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, shredded Monterey cheddar cheese, and Subway’s signature honey mustard. The honey mustard recipe has been changed for the better, according to the poll and this one gets two thumbs up.
  10. Hotshot Italiano – a spicy sandwich with Genoa salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, jalapeño pepper, and MVP Parmesan Vinaigrette. The pepper seeds are present making it a really hot but tasty choice.
  11. The Ultimate B.M.T. – B.M.T. stands for “Biggest, Meatiest, Tastiest” and it’s a Subway classic that has been on menus since 1975 and now has a new name. It consists of Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, Black Forest ham, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, provolone cheese, and MVP Parmesan Vinaigrette. It remains a classic that has stood the test of time.
  12. All-American Club – served on an Italian bread loaf, it contains oven-roasted turkey, Black Forest ham, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, American cheese, and mayonnaise. It’s a solid, old-fashioned club sandwich with basic ingredients done well to make it TastingTable’s number-one choice at Subway.

The sandwiches were judged on uniqueness, appearance, and balanced flavor, and the final rankings were based on something that was filling, wholesome, and tasty.
