A new study looked into the MOST WALKABLE cities in the United States for TOURISTS, and the top spot went to . . . Chicago.
No, this is not a joke . . . they're not suggesting travelers head out on casual midnight strolls through Garfield Park.
The data was specifically looking for cities where you could see the most landmarks . . . in the least amount of time . . . on-foot. And Chicago delivers on that. It takes just 28 minutes to explore five of its most famous landmarks . . . including Cloud Gate and The Magnificent Mile.
Nashville is the second-most walkable city for tourists, followed by Dallas . . . Santa Fe, New Mexico . . . New Orleans . . . Portland, Oregon . . . Boston . . . Boise, Idaho . . . Austin . . . Washington, D.C. . . . and Savannah, Georgia.
Of the 30 cities they considered, Orlando came in last, and is the LEAST walkable. Los Angeles is the second-worst for people on foot, followed by San Francisco . . . Honolulu . . . and Memphis.
