Billie Jo Armstrong Admits Things Got Emotional When He Met Eddie Van Halen:

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong had no problem admitting he was in tears the first time he saw the late great Eddie Van Halen play live in 1984 (at the age of 12). But what surprised the rocker was the legend’s response when they met years later. “It was right when Van Halen got back together with David Lee Roth,” Armstrong recalled. “And then, like, this really insane thing happened, where he kind of stared crying. Chris Stapleton Used to Ask His Wife to Write Songs with Him on Friday Nights as an Excuse to Have a Date

Chris Stapleton met his wife Morgane at the same publishing house when they were songwriters in 2003. And he admits that he used their professional connection to sneak dates with her.

Quote, "She would make the joke that I'd ask her to write songs at 8:00 on a Friday night. And she wasn't wrong. Some things are electricity. Sometimes you just know those things intuitively about who your love interest is."

He adds, quote, "You can't explain those things. There's an electricity to it. I think when people talk about lightning striking this way, it's not really like a bolt. It's more like a buzz . . .

"And then one day you wake up 16 years later and you're like, 'Okay. I still feel kind of buzzed.'"
