Duran Duran To Play Benefit Concert In Honor Of Andy Taylor.

Duran Duran is prepping for a special benefit concert next month as a tribute to guitarist Andy Taylor, with proceeds being given to a UK cancer charity. The gig, which takes place at the Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, California, will be held on August 19th. The show is in honor of Taylor, who left the band in 2006 and went public with his prostate cancer diagnosis last year.

After frontman Simon Le Bon revealed the reason for doing the concert is because “it’s the right thing to do,” Sir Chris Evans, who’s the founder of Cancer Awareness spoke about the upcoming gig with an update about Andy. “Andy will receive the latest precision medical treatment, emanating from some recently successful clinical trials, along with the ongoing support that the Cancer Awareness Trust is providing,” he said, adding, “The incredible support of Duran Duran will mean many more people will benefit just like Andy has.” Meanwhile, Taylor has revealed that he’s hoping to undergo “nuclear therapy” in the UK.

Wanna go? Waitlist tickets for $500 general admission and $1,000 mezzanine seats are available for now.

Nikki Sixx Says There Are No Setlist Changes For Tour With Def Leppard.

When Mötley Crüe heads back out on tour, they’re keeping things steady as she goes. The band’s "The World Tour" is heading back to the US for six dates kicking off in Syracuse, New York on August 5th. After that, the boys are off to Japan and Australia. However, the setlist for the tour will sound a lot like previous iterations.

How do we know? Apparently, Nikki Sixx tipped his hand when a fan commented on a post about the upcoming tour saying, "Hopefully an adjustment in the set list, would love to hear some of the other killer songs you have to”. Unfortunately for that fan, Sixx replied, "The show is all worked out for this tour. Next time we go into rehearsals in 2024 for the next tour we do all the set list and video content changes."

As far as what songs fans can expect for the upcoming dates, the Crüe’s setlist for the 2023 "The World Tour" is as follows:

  1. Wild Side
  2. 02. Shout Out At The Devil
  3. 03. Too Fast For Love
  4. 04. Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)
  5. 05. Saints of Los Angeles
  6. 06. Live Wire
  7. 07. Looks That Kill
  8. 08. The Dirt (Est. 1981)
  9. 09. Guitar Solo
