The Enchirito From Taco Bell is Finally Coming Back.

Taco Bell often discontinues certain menu items; certain fans are always upset when some of their favorites disappear. One of those is the Enchirito, a burrito-enchilada hybrid that first showed up on menus in the 1970s but was discontinued in 2013. It returned for a short while in November 2022, but it looks like it’s returning for a limited time.

Taco Bell’s Chief Marketing Officer Taylor Montgomery confirmed the return in a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread, saying that he “can confirm publicly for the first time that it will be back very soon for a limited time.” There were no details on the date it’s returning or how long it will be available, but some fans are unhappy that it’s not returning permanently.

One customer said, “If the Enchirito is so great and beloved, and IT IS, then why bring it back on a limited basis?” and another said, “Can it just like…stay?” The hope is that it becomes popular enough to make it a permanent menu item again.

Some other menu items are also returning this year, including fiery Volcano Burrito, Volcano Taco, and Lava Sauce beginning June 29 (rewards members get early access on June 27) for a limited time. The Beefy Crunch Burrito is also coming back in early August. It was chosen over the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos taco in a vote by customers earlier this year.
