My favorite memory of the day probably happened early, right after RoZY's set.
I was backstage talking to Zoe and Molly right after their set, and a guy came up and popped into our conversation and said, "I loved that. you guys did great." They said thanks and returned to our discussion. I smiled and said you don't know who that was, do you? They didn't. I told them: it was Sully from Godsmack, who had a hat on and was very lowkey. They were shocked, and I said let's get a picture quick before he steps away.
We told the guys from the band to step into the picture, and they did, and I took this picture. After I asked the guys if they realized who it was. Of course, they didn't because Sully had a hat on, and when they looked again, everyone was blown away.
Sully made a totally cool move to have watched their set and encouraged them. He is a true rock star!
I gathered the pieces from the guitar Highly Suspect smashed on stage. It is signed and will be a nice collector's piece for some Buzz listeners. Does anyone want it?
Confetti explosion at the end of Godsmack. What a way to end Buzzfest!
RoZY is partying in the pit, watching Godsmack! They had the best time!
I got to meet the Warning!
Alex P. Middleton ended the night at the Marriott bar. The combination of exhaustion and that smile sums up Buzzfest for me.
