The Neighbourhood Drops Drummer Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations
Rock band The Neighbourhood has fired drummer Brandon Fried following sexual harassment accusations by a fellow rocker. María Zardoya of The Marías took to The Marías’ Instagram account to inform followers that “I was as at a bar last nights, and I was groped under the table by Brandon Fried, the drummber of The Neighbourhood.” The singer said she felt “an invasion of my space, privacy and body” before calling on The Neighbourhood to replace Fried.
The Neighbourhood did not take long to respond. The band posted on their own social media: “We are grateful to María for coming forward. We have zero tolerance for any kind of inappropriate behavior towards women. As a result of Brandon’s actions, he will no longer be a member of The Neighbourhood.”
