Music: Rage Against The Machine Cancel 2023 Tour

Rage Against The Machine Cancel 2023 Tour

Rage Against the Machine announced yesterday that their 2023 tour is canceled. Singer Zack de la Rocha needs more time to heal and recuperate from an injury that happened in July.

Zack said in a statement, quote, "I have a severe tear in my left Achilles tendon and only 8% of my tendon was left intact. And even that was severely compromised . . .

"It's not simply a question of being able to perform again, but extends to basic functionality going forward. You have all waited so patiently to see us and that is never lost on me. I never take that for granted. For you I have the ultimate gratitude and respect."

If you bought tickets from Ticketmaster or AXS, you'll be refunded within 30 days or so.

Coldplay Postpones Brazilian Shows Due To Chris Martin’s Lung Infection.

Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” tour has been postponed because the band’s frontman Chris Martin is in sick bay. The band announced they have to postpone eight Brazilian shows because Chris is battling a lung infection.

“With deep regret, we’ve been forced to postpone our upcoming shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo until early 2023,” the band shares. “Due to a serious lung infection, Chris has been put under strict doctor’s orders to rest for the next three weeks.”

Postponed shows include two dates in Rio De Janeiro (October 11 & 12th) and six dates (October 15, 16, 18, 19, 21, & 22) in Sao Paulo. Fans are being told to hold on to their tickets for the new dates. So far there’s no word on whether it will affect their 10-night stand in Buenos Aires, which is due to kick off on October 25th.

The band notes, “we are optimistic Chris will return to good health after the prescribed medical break and look forward to resuming the tour soon.”
