For the first time since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins earlier this year, a member of the band has commented on the future of Foo Fighters.
According to NME, guitarist Chris Shiflett mentioned the idea that at some point the band will be promoting a new Foo Fighters record during a recent podcast interview. He was asked if interviewers tend to bring up Hawkins' passing or avoid the topic:
“Most people that I’ve encountered have been respectful about it or try to avoid it.”
“It probably will be [more of a thing] when we ever get around to putting out another Foo Fighters record and go back into the promo boogie woogie."
The band's second Taylor Hawkins tribute concert is happening tonight in Los Angeles. The star-studded lineup will include Lars Ulrich, Alanis Morissette, Miley Cyrus, Joe Elliott, Josh Homme, Joan Jett, Brian May, Wolfgang Van Halen, and many more. Check out the full announced lineup below and keep an eye out for videos from the event. I'm sure that, just like at the London show, there will be some incredible moments happening on that stage.
