Mark Hoppus Grateful To Still Be Cancer Free
Blink-182 bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus announced on his Instagram Story on Wednesday that his recent scan came back clean and he’s still cancer-free. Hoppus was diagnosed with lymphoma in April of 2021 and says he went into a deep depression after his diagnosis. Hoppus says his wife Skye gave him a wake-up call with blunt talk; “It was a total snap-out-of-it moment.”
After getting the news that he was cancer-free last year, he’s writing a book, launched the record company Verswire, and is hosting a show on Apple Music.

Garbage Releasing Compilation Album
Garbage is putting it all out there. The band is releasing a 35-track compilation called “Anthology” on October 28th that spans their entire career. In a statement, singer Shirley Manson says, “This anthology is testimony to almost three decades of creative work together, our collective tenacity and our terrifying ability as a group to withstand ritual humiliation on a regular basis.”
The album is set to release on double transparent yellow vinyl and two-CD editions, along with hitting streaming platforms. Garbage is scheduled to perform at the “We Can Survive” festival on October 22nd in Los Angeles along with Halsey, Alanis Morissette, Weezer, and more.
As it turns out, there's no significance to the date of September 21st in the song "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire.

Puscifer To Livestream Two Concert Films For Halloween
Two new concert film live streams will drop from Puscifer on Halloween weekend. The two films will feature music from 2007’s “V Is For Vagina” and 2011’s “Conditions of My Parole,” completing the collection of Livestream films based on each of the band’s albums.
How did the idea come about? According to Maynard James Keenan, “Those with creative minds are restless,” saying that the projects came about during lockdown. Both films premiere at noon Pacific Time on October 28th and will remain on demand for 72 hours. Tickets are available through the project’s website.
