Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney had themselves filmed getting colonoscopies . . . in order to encourage others to have their colons patrolled. They teamed up with a colon cancer awareness organization called Lead from Behind.
Ryan said, quote, "It's not every day that you can raise awareness about something that will most definitely save lives. That's enough motivation for me to let you in on a camera being shoved up my [butt]."
It was good that the guys had it done, too because the doctor removed a small polyp from Ryan's tunnel and three from Rob.
Polyps can form on the lining of the colon. They're usually harmless, but they could develop into cancer. So it's best to be like Ryan and Rob and get screened.
