Corey Taylor Is Still Fighting With Machine Gun Kelly
Slipknot's Corey Taylor is not holding back when spilling about his beef with Machine Gun Kelly. In front of a crowd on the "ShipRocked" cruise, Corey said that MGK doesn't get to “f**king run [his] mouth about bands that have been doing this for 20 f**king years.” He also said that he didn't start the beef, but that MGK still swears that he did.
"But he, to this day, maintains that I started it. It’s, like, the only reason I said what I said is because he said what he said. You don’t get to walk into a genre with the history, with the work... You don’t get to walk in as some weird substitute teacher and pretend that you can tell us what to wear — boots, shoes, house f**king shoes, slippers. Why don’t you s*ck every inch of my d**k? You don’t get to do that."
This beef has been going on for a while. In early 2021, Taylor apparently alluded to MGK in an interview where he said “I [hate] the artists who failed in one genre and decided to go rock — and I think he knows who he is.” Then back in September, MGK threw shade at Slipknot, calling them weird old dues with masks. The two then beefed on Twitter.

Queen Was the Most-Played Rock Band on the Radio Around the World in 2021
QUEEN was the most-played rock band on the radio last year . . . around the whole world. But across all genres, they placed fourth according to the analytics service Viberate.
The top three were ED SHEERAN, DUA LIPA, and THE WEEKND. Out of over 24,000 radio stations in 150 different countries, pop music was the most popular genre with 141 million plays, and rock came in second with 79.7 million plays.
On Spotify, rock ranked fourth (31.8 billion streams) after pop (145 billion), hip-hop (83.2 billion), and Latin (55.9 billion). YouTube had similar statistics with rock music also ranking fourth (8.9 billion views) behind pop (71 billion), Latin (54.9 billion), and hip-hop (44.9 billion).
Viberate's report says the numbers show that rock music is "resurrected", and it's all thanks to artists who typically wouldn't be considered in the genre like OLIVIA RODRIGO and MACHINE GUN KELLY.

Kid Rock To Cancel Tour Stops With Vaccine Mandates
Kid Rock is going on tour! But he's shared that he was pretty selective about where he was going. Kid Rock took to his Facebook page to write that he's not performing at any venues that require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have a mask mandate.
In the video, he shared, “There’s been a lot of talk about vaccine mandates and venues. People saying, ‘I’m not going to that venue because of the vaccine mandate’ and this, that, and the other. Trust me, we’ve done all our research on this and the consensus says that all this is going to be done, if there are any at these venues, I’m not aware of any, but if there are any, they’re going to be gone by the time we get to your city. If they’re not, trust me, you don’t have to worry. You’ll be getting your money back because I won’t be showing up either."
He said they did scratch cities originally on the tour list because of mandates. “It’s actually kind of unfortunate. We actually scratched Buffalo, New York off the list because of that and Toronto, Canada, and several other cities we were looking at. I don’t want to deal with that sh*t either."
