Sofia Vergara is going to play a Colombian drug lord in a show called "Griselda."
It's based on the real-life Griselda Blanco, a powerful cocaine trafficker in the '80s who was known as "Black Widow."
It's going to be a six-episode limited series on Netflix from some of the same team behind "Narcos" and "Narcos: Mexico."
Sofia will also executive produce. But Netflix wants to make sure you know that it's NOT a "Narcos" spin-off.
Sofia, said, quote, "Griselda was a larger-than-life character whose ruthless but ingenious tactics allowed her to rule a billion-dollar empire years before many of the most notorious male kingpins we know so much about . . .
"We are thrilled to have found the perfect partners to help us bring this story of her life to the screen."
Sofia has been working on this project for about eight years.
Jennifer Lopez is also developing a Griselda Blanco project called "The Godmother."
