High-waisted jean shorts may look sexy . . . but they can be uncomfortable. And for one person, they were almost DEADLY.
A 25-year-old woman from North Carolina named Sam shared a story on TikTok, about a SCARY experience she had after a date she went on three years ago.
She was wearing tight, high-waisted jean shorts, and they gave her an eight-hour-long WEDGIE. She mostly just ignored it and continued with the date.
But later, her backside was really sore, and she had a bump where the chafing happened. She got some antibiotics from her doctor, but it got worse. There was a stabbing pain, and she couldn't walk. So she went to the ER.
She ended up in the ICU with cellulitis and sepsis. Cellulitis is a painful skin infection, and sepsis is a life-threatening response the body has to infection.
It got so bad that the doctors thought they might have to surgically remove the part of her backside that was infected. But thankfully, it didn't come to that.
She's since recovered, and the guy she was on the date with was supportive throughout the ordeal. And now, three years later, they're still together.
