Women who've had a breast reduction might know this, but most people don't. It turns out that sometimes . . . they GROW BACK.
It happened to a 24-year-old woman in L.A. named Bethanie Lyon, and she's been talking about it on TikTok.
She paid $10,000 for a breast reduction two years ago. She was an E-cup and was already having back pain. So she got them reduced to a C-cup, but it didn't take.
She realized they were growing back three months after the surgery when some new shirts she bought started splitting at the seams. And they were all the way back within a year.
She says the question she always gets is did she just gain weight? But no, they really did grow back. And she's not the only person it's happened to.
A plastic surgeon in New York says it's rare. And it's even rarer for them to grow back completely. But it happens, sometimes because of hormonal changes. Bethanie thinks it might have to do with the fact that she has thyroid issues.
She's not sure yet if she'll have a second surgery to size down again. But she's a dancer, so it's affecting her career. (NY Post)(Here's a recentphotoof her.)
