Music: The Kid on the Cover of Nirvana's Nevermind Album Is Suing the Band

Naked Kid on the Cover of Nirvana's "Nevermind" Album Is Suing the Band

Seems like he waited long enough, but the kid on the cover of NIRVANA's"Nevermind" album is now suing the band for child sexual exploitation and, quote, "distribution of private sexually explicit materials."

His name is Spencer Elden, and just like the album, he's 30 now. He was only four months old when he was photographed for the cover, wiener and all.

In his lawsuit, he notes that he couldn't legally consent to his image being used . . . and according to him, it's CHILD PORNOGRAPHY. He also says the band promised to cover his nether region with a sticker but never did.

He's suing the band, its surviving members, KURT COBAIN's estate, the photographer, and the record labels that released the album. He wants $150,000 from each plaintiff.

Spencer actually has the word "Nevermind" tattooed across his chest. And in 2016, he recreated the photo for the album's 25th anniversary . . . but not naked. That same year, though, he admitted he wasn't happy to be associated with it.

And in the lawsuit, he says he has suffered permanent physical, psychological, and financial harm from the photo.

Rolling Stones Drummer Charlie Watts Died Yesterday

ROLLING STONES drummer CHARLIE WATTS died yesterday at a London hospital, surrounded by family. He was 80 years old. (Here's the official announcement from the band.)

There's no word on the cause of death, but Charlie had previously backed out of this year's tour because of an undisclosed health issue.

Watts joined the Stones in 1963 and was regarded as one of the premier drummers in rock, as well as a stabilizing influence within the band.

The Stones wanted to recruit Charlie so badly that they cut down their expenses just so they could afford him. At the time, Charlie figured the band would last a week.

Charlie was more of a jazz drummer and had to be "taught" rock and roll by KEITH RICHARDS.

Charlie never really went in for the rock star lifestyle. He was married to his wife Shirley since 1964 and mostly stayed out of trouble, except for heroin addiction in the mid-'80s. He also battled, and beat, throat cancer in 2004.

There's no word yet from Keith or MICK JAGGER, but PAUL MCCARTNEY posted a video calling Charlie a "lovely guy" and a fantastic drummer.

RINGO STARR posted a tribute as well.

ELTON JOHN called Charlie "the ultimate drummer" and "such brilliant company."

THE WHO just posted a picture of him smiling.

For the Last Time, Wolfgang Van Halen Isn't Your Damn Van Halen Karaoke Machine

WOLFGANG VAN HALEN wants to be his own man. That's why he doesn't play VAN HALEN songs during his set. But that hasn't stopped people from PESTERING him to do it.

And sometimes he just has to fight back. Someone recently told him, quote, "Wolfie, I like your stuff. I just think the time to honor Dad is now. You've already shown you can stand on your own!"

And Wolfgang replied, quote, "Y'all are never gonna [effing'] stop are ya? I honor my dad by existing and doing what I do every day. I'm not [effin'] playing 'Panama' for you guys."

Later on, he added, "Plays in a band with Dad: That spoiled brat is just riding his daddy's coattails . . . Plays in own band without covering VH: Yo, why isn't he riding his daddy's coattails??"

And he said he might play the Bowie / Jagger version of "Dancing in the Street" just to, quote, "piss y'all off."
