Women Of Marvel's Black Widow: Lookin At Girlzz Spotlight

UPDATE: Florence Pugh just announced that she and Zach Braff broke up over the summer, so this post is about her now. New and old photos of her below, plus the original post with Scarlett, Rachel, and Olga below that!

Florence Pugh

This 25-year-old English actress is best known for her roles in Midsommar, Little Women, and Fighting with My Family. Pugh plays Yelena Belova, another Russian spy trained by the same program as Natasha Romanoff. In the comics, the character has sometimes taken over as Black Widow, so it seems likely that she may take over as the MCU's new Black Widow in future Marvel movies.

More than a year after its original May 2020 release date, the long-delayed Black Widow is finally hitting theaters (and living rooms via Disney+) this weekend. Let's take a closer look at Scarlett Johansson and some of the ladies joining her in this Natasha Romanoff solo adventure.

Scarlett Johansson

Johansson has been playing super-spy-turned-superhero Natasha Romanoff since 2010's Iron Man 2. She then went on to appear as Black Widow in The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Despite her character's death in Endgame, Johansson is back in this first Black Widow solo movie.

Rachel Weisz

Weisz plays Melina Vostokoff, a Russian spy and scientist who has been through the Red Room's Black Widow program. She appears to be a mother figure for Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh's characters. You know her from The Mummy, About A Boy, The Bourne Legacy, and The Favourite.

Olga Kurylenko

The Ukranian-born former model has a mysterious uncredited role in Black Widow. She is best known for her turn as a Bond girl in 2008's Quantum of Solace, plus her work in Oblivion and Hitman.
