MLB Pitcher Fractures Thumb While Taking Off His Shirt
A Major League Baseball pitcher will be sitting in the dugout after getting hurt by taking off his shirt.
Cleveland Indians managerTerry FranconaannouncedZach Plesac's injury Tuesday. He said the pitcher suffered the non-displaced fracture on his thumb on his pitching hand while "rather aggressively ripping off his shirt" and hitting his thumb on a chair in the locker room.
When the swelling failed to go down Monday, the team opted for an X-ray, which revealed the fracture.
