FBI Releases Long-Withheld Kurt Cobain Files
When Kurt Cobain died in 1994, his fans weren’t only devastated – they smelled a conspiracy. Several fans wanted the FBI to open up a murder investigation into the rocker’s reported suicide, and the government has kept a lock on files related to the conspiracy theories for decades… until now.
The FBI has quietly released their documents on the late rocker to the online archive “The Vault.” There are several letters from Nirvana fans asking the FBI for a murder probe, along with responses from the FBI saying they “appreciate” fans’ “concern,” but have no jurisdiction to open a homicide investigation. The 10-page file also includes pages from a 1997 fax from the production company of the TV series “Unsolved Mysteries.”
Kurt joins a list of musicians the FBI has had files on, including The Monkees, Notorious BIG, The Bee Gees’ Robin Gibb, and John Denver. Check out Cobain’s file HERE.

Pearl Jam Drop 186 Live Shows To Streaming Services, Launch Immersive Live Hub
There’s nothing like a Pearl Jam concert and the band just made it easier for fans to relive some of their most classic concerts. The band has just released 186 live “bootlegs” to streaming services. The released concerts come from shows in 2000, 2003, 2008, and 2013, and translates to 5,404 songs.
And that’s not all. For Pearl Jam diehards, the band just launched a new immersive live hub, “Deep,” on their website. In addition to the 186 bootlegs, fans can search favorite shows by categories, and listen to custom-curated playlists, like “Best Covers,” Best of CITY” and more. Newer fans can even enjoy a playlist called “Pearl Jam for Dummies.”
The immersive experience also offers a “Custom Setlist Generator,” which gives them a custom setlist by putting in their name and birthday. The set is generated in Eddie Vedder’s handwriting, and features written descriptions by fans.

Brian Johnson & Foo Fighters Perform ACDC's "Back In Black" At VAX Live
Brian Johnson was among the performers at Global Citizen’s “VAX Live” concert this weekend. He teamed up with Foo Fighters to rock AC/DC’s “Back In Black.”
Dave Grohl usually fronts the Foos, but this time Brian took the mic to sing the AC/DC hit. He looked like he was having a blast performing with the band for the crowd of 27,000 fans – many of whom were healthcare or other essential workers.
The Foo Fighters played a six-song set that night, including their own hits “Everlong,” “All My Life,” and “Times Like These.” Check out their performance with Brian Johnson to the right.

Final Rock Hall Fan Vote Tops with Tina Turner
The fan voting for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame closed late Saturday night, and the results are in.
It's no shock that TINA TURNER tops the list with over 585,000 votes. FELA KUTI, THEGO-GO'S, IRON MAIDEN, and FOO FIGHTERS join Tina in the Top 5.
The fan ballot is tallied alongside others to select the 2021 Inductees.
The 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony returns to Cleveland on October 30th.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin Knows “Higher Power” Is Gonna Be A Hit
Coldplay dropped their new song “Higher Power” on Friday, and Chris Martin thinks it’s one of the band’s better tunes.
“A song like "Higher Power," in our whole catalog, there's probably 15 songs where that's happened where it basically just… lands. Yeah, actually Will (Champion) said, 'I really like this,’” he told Apple Music’s ZaneLowe. “And so I sent (the band) the demo and then they started working on it and Will texted me and said, ‘This is going to be really good.’ I've had that maybe twice.”
As for another time that happened, he shared it was with “Viva La Vida.”
- Interestingly, Martin revealed that he never really listens to the band’s songs once they are done, noting “it’s too difficult.” He explained, “if I listened to it and thought it was amazing, I don't know how healthy that would be for my ego,” adding, “And if I listened to it, the most normal thing is I'd think it's awful. The same as when you hear your voice on an answering machine.”

Nine Inch Nails Announces Pair Of 2021 Concerts
Nine Inch Nails isn’t only ready to put out new material after their Oscar win, they’re hitting the stage, too. The band has announced a pair of concerts happening this Fall.
On September 21st and 23rd, Trent Reznor and co will hit the stage of Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio. They’ll be supported by Pixies for both shows.
The band says these will be their “only headlining shows of 2021” – and the last time they went on tour was in 2018. Tickets for the September concerts go on sale on 14th at 10 am ET.
