Trent Reznor On The Future Of Nine Inch Nails
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross took home an Oscar for Best Original Score over the weekend for their work with Jon Baptiste on the Pixar animated movie “Soul.” Baptiste did the talking on stage, but after the show Trent and Atticus gave fans an update on the future of Nine Inch Nails.
The duo has been keeping themselves busy with scoring work. But now that the Oscars are in the books, they say “new Nine Inch Nails stuff” is “coming up the pike soon.” Trent remembers that after their first movie score, for “The Social Network,” they were so pumped that they felt like touring with new Nine Inch Nails material again.
“What we’ve tried to do since then is break it up where we do some rock music, we come back and do some film work,” he adds. We’ve just done three pretty big films in ‘Watchmen,’ ‘Mank,’ and ‘Soul’ in a row. We are planning on working on Nine Inch Nails material as soon as, probably tomorrow.”
