A Guy Defrauded Hotels by Pretending to Book Rooms for the Wu-Tang Clan
If you're gonna pretend to be associated with a famous band, I guess pick a group with nine members and an entourage too big to count . . .
A guy from Florida was in federal court this week after admitting he scammed a bunch of hotels out of thousands of dollars . . . by pretending to be part of the Wu-Tang Clan.
For several weeks, 29-year-old Aaron Barnes-Burpo and a friend booked rooms and services at a bunch of hotels in Georgia, claiming they were with the Wu-Tang Clan and Jay-Z's company Roc Nation.
They got thousands of dollars in discounts . . . lived like kings with limos and penthouse suites . . . and never paid because they used stolen credit cards and fraudulent info.
It went south after an employee at a hotel in Augusta, Georgia thought it seemed fishy and called someone at Roc Nation.
This week, a judge sentenced Aaron to SEVEN YEARS in prison for wire fraud. And he's also on the hook for around $300,000 in goods and services he never paid for.
His friend who was in on it is still waiting to be sentenced.

Cops Arrest the Same Guy Three Times in One Day . . . Twice by the Same Officer
This guy REALLY needs to stop taking his bag of crack out for a nice drive around town.
A 29-year-old guy named Robert Radek was pulled over in Newburgh, New York around 7:55 A.M. back on Sunday of last week. He was driving with a suspended license and with a bag of CRACK, so he was arrested and got a court summons.
Then, at 2:30 P.M., that same cop pulled over a different car . . . and Robert was driving it too. And he had his bag of crack on him again, plus he had some heroin this time around. So he was arrested again and given another court summons.
Finally, at 5:45 P.M., he was pulled over again by a different cop . . . who figured out he was driving under the influence. So he was arrested AGAIN and got another court summons.
He'll be in court next month to face all of the charges he managed to get during his THREE arrests in one day.
