WOLFGANG VAN HALEN Says His Father Cried First Time He Heard 'Distance':
Wolfgang wrote the song while his late father, legendary VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen, battled cancer, "imagining what my life would be without him, and how terribly I'd miss him," as Wolfgang explained in a statement.
Wolfgang played every instrument and sang each and every note on the MAMMOTH WVH LP, which is tentatively due this spring.

Foo Fighters Announce New Song & Sake
Foo Fighters are ready to give fans another preview of their new album “Medicine at Midnight,” due for release on February 5th. The band has announced their next single dropping today, “Waiting On A War.”
Frontman Dave Grohl has opened up about the personal meaning behind the song in a Twitter thread. “As a child growing up in the suburbs of Washington DC, I was always afraid of war,” he writes. “I had nightmares of missiles in the sky and soldiers in my backyard, most likely brought upon by the political tension of the early 1980’s and my proximity to the Nation’s Capitol.”
Along with the new single, the band has announced a new sake released in honor of their “Medicine At Midnight” album. The sake brand Tatenokawa has launched “Hansho,” which means “Midnight” in Japanese, available

Death Cab For Cutie’s "Georgia EP" Now Streaming
Death Cab For Cutie has released an EP inspired by the Democrats’ victory in the Georgia runoff elections. “The Georgia EP” is now available to stream everywhere.
The EP was previously only available via Bandcamp for one day in December, raising over $100K for Stacey Abrams’ Fair Fight organization. Recorded in quarantine, “The Georgia EP” features covers of Georgia-based artists like R.E.M., Neutral Milk Hotel, Cat Power, and the late Vic Chesnutt.
Along with the streaming release, the band has also announced a limited-edition peach-colored vinyl edition of the EP, which you can pre-order HERE.
