According to Variety, Bob's Burgers writers Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux have been hired to write a third Deadpool movie. Ryan Reynolds will be back as the title character and producer.
There has been a lot of speculation about how Disney would handle the R-rated Deadpool after acquiring the character (along with all the other X-Men characters) in their purchase of 21st Century Fox. It seems like a safe bet that Marvel Studios will totally reboot the core X-Men movies and introduce the characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This announcement is the first confirmation that Disney and Marvel Studios will be continuing the existing Deadpool series and sticking with the Ryan Reynolds version of the character. Not a surprising choice though, since the first two Deadpool movies made a combined $1.5 billion at the box office. Neither Disney nor Marvel commented on how this would all work and whether or not Deadpool would actually be joining their movie universe or exist in his own little world.
According to Deadline, 20th Century Studios has hired 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg to direct a new Predator movie. The series began with 1987's Predator, with sequels hitting theaters in 1990, 2010, and 2018.
The last entry in the franchise was The Predator, a box office disappointment that no one seemed all that happy with, so this could be a total reboot, a sequel that ignores some of the previous films, or the one that finally brings Arnold Schwarzenegger back to battle the creature again.
