Smashing Pumpkins Releasing "Mellon Collie" Sequel

Smashing Pumpkins are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their third album, “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” in a big way. The band has announced a sequel concept album due for release next year.

The Billy Corgan-led band will put out a 33-song long album as a follow-up to the 1995 original, as well as 2005’s “Machina.” The release will coincide with a world arena tour in honor of “Mellon Collie,” which was pushed until next year due to coronavirus.

To mark the 25th anniversary before then, Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin will celebrate with a Zoom chat and fan Q&A that’s happening today. Check it out HERE.

Elton John Is Getting His Own Barbie Doll

ELTON JOHN now has his own Barbie doll, which "celebrates his unique look."

Mattel says, quote, "The Elton John Barbie doll shines bright in a glittery top and flared denim embellished with Elton's sparkling initials.

"Her 'Elton'-embossed bomber jacket features star-printed sleeves and a rainbow-striped hem. Nods to the artist's iconic style include rainbow-striped platform boots, a purple bowler hat and sparkly, pink-tinted sunglasses."

So, it's still Barbie . . . just glammed up like she's going as Elton for Halloween.

Elton posted photos of his Barbie, and called it an "honor." Mattel is selling the Elton-inspired Barbie for $50.00.

Save Our Stages Festival Raises $1.8 Million For Independent Venues

The Save Our Stages Festival took place this past weekend featuring performances by the Foo Fighters, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Dave Matthews Band, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire and more. The virtual festival set out to raise money for independent music venues struggling due to coronavirus shutdowns, and apparently it was pretty successful.

The three-day festival wound up bringing in $1.8 million to help venues, with money coming from donations through YouTube Giving’s Donate button, the Save Our Stages website, text to donate and #SOSFEST merch.

And the donations don’t need to end. Fans can still support the cause, and watch #SOSFest performances on YouTube, where they’ll find the donate button.

A Drunk Smashed a Street Musician's Guitar, So Jack White Bought Him a Replacement

Here's the original video the street musician posted when a drunk woman destroyed his guitar in Scotland.
