PS5 Release Info, Fortnite Concert, and New Games Today

It's time for "Gamers & Geeks," covering the least important distractions from your IRL responsibilities. Here's our quick rundown of this week in video game nonsense . . .

The PlayStation 5 launches on November 12th in the U.S. The standard console costs $500 and the disc-less digital version will sell for $400. 

The PS5 comes out two days after the next gen Xbox, which is similarly priced at $500 and $300 respectively.

During this week's PlayStation showcase, they revealed some fresh trailers and announced some new games. 

Check out the trailers for "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales", a Harry Potter prequel set in the 1800s called "Hogwart's Legacy", the new Final Fantasy game, "Final Fantasy XVI", and next year's "Resident Evil Village".

Fortnite has added Anderson .Paak to its live concert series.

He's performing in the game tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. If you miss it, you can catch an encore performance at 11:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday or 1:00 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.

Today's new game releases include "Super Mario 3D All-Stars" for the Switch, and "WWE 2K Battlegrounds" which is out on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

The popular esports game "Rocket League" is about to be available to everyone.

 The vehicular soccer game will be free to play, starting next Wednesday.
